Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Vane's website and field-service-management platform (the "Service"), operated by Vane ("Vane," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Vane provides a field-service-management platform, provisioned and operated on your behalf, for managing customers, jobs, scheduling, quotes, invoices, and related business operations.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate business information when signing up.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor (Stripe). Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we expressly state otherwise.

4. Text Messaging (SMS) Terms

Where you enable text messaging through the Service (either to send messages on your own account's behalf, or to your own customers), the following applies:

• Message frequency varies based on your use of the Service and configuration.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out; reply START to opt back in; reply HELP for help.
• You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid consent from anyone you send text messages to through the Service, and for complying with applicable law (including the TCPA) and carrier/messaging-provider requirements.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Text messaging is provided using infrastructure operated by our messaging provider (Twilio); see our Privacy Policy for how phone number data is handled.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Send unsolicited, unlawful, or deceptive communications, including messages to a phone number without the required consent;
• Violate any applicable law or third party's rights;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers — including Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messaging), and Linode (hosting) — each subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software and branding, is owned by Vane. Your own business data remains yours; you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vane will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
